restless. i dont think i will get sleep tonight.
just came home from watching
[sinking of japan]. well.. it sort of scared me. really, all the earthquakes, tsunamis and volcano eruptions. the main plot was good, but i dont know why they to squeeze in the romance between kusonagi tsuyoshi and shibasaki kou in. i think it's to please fans who want to see them interact after a sort-of interaction in [yomigaeri]. it would have worked very well if they had left the plot revolving around the two submarine pilots instead of bringing shibasaki kou in actually. sighh.
anws, i just learnt that there has been a parody made of this movie called
[everyone but japan sinks]. that is really hilarious! it even has a few quite a-list stars like kohashi kenji and kashiwabara shuji.
[made to order] on travel & living just showed the world gourmet summit episode. ever since the WGS was here in singapore around april this year, i heard that the rubino brothers and ian wright were coming, and tt the rubino brothers were doing an episode of made to order for
travel & living. been wanting to watch this episode for a loong loong time.
chef calvin once told me how hectic a kitchen gets when you do a fine dinner for more than a hundred people. he made it sound so exciting; the head chef just goes, "second course, i need the fish, go go go go!" yada yada. only one person ordering the whole kitchen and everyone knowing exactly what their job was. the courses just kept coming up, and you had to plate a hundred plates at one go. whew! but when he talked about it, it seemed like he enjoyed that challenge. told him before i wanted to stand by one day and see. haas, guess i dont have that chance anymore.
